M-21 Road Project

M-21 Resurfacing project that starts Tuesday, May 31, 2022.  The project starts east of State Road and extends to just west of M-13.
The project will be a 2 course mill and overlay, it will also include the replacement of the culvert at Durand Road.  The work will also include some ditching and other culvert work but will not be a complete reconstruction.
Starting on Tuesday there will be a flagging operation (one lane open at a time) that will extend approximately 2 miles and could happen in a couple locations along the route.
The contractor is still working to get the culvert for Rush Creek at Durand Road.  Once the date is set for the work at Rush Creek we will send out an update.  That work will involve closing M-21 and Durand Road at the intersection for approximately 6 to 7 weeks to remove and replace the culvert.  Right now that work is looking to start in August.
Other work included in the project will be some work on the other large culverts some miscellaneous ditching and curb work.  As well as milling and paving back 2 lifts of hot mix asphalt.
